World Bank Group

An international financial institution that provides loans, grants, project finance and guarantees to low- and middle-income countries for the purposes of economic development. The WBG comprises the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), the International Development Association (IDA), the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), and the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). It is a multilateral development bank, and one of the Bretton Woods Institutions, along with the IMF.
