The IMF's debt sustainability analyses (DSAs) provide a risk analysis of a country going into debt distress or default, and are deemed 'sustainable' if a country can repay its debt without having to restructure it. Their optimism bias, opacity and lack of climate/development consideration have been subject of long-time criticism.
